PATHWAY TO EMPLOYMENT

(For BSSW & MSW Students)

Make a Difference with MCS-T.O.U.C.H.

GOAL: The goal of Pathway to Employment is to develop professional direct service employees for MCS-T.O.U.C.H. We believe we can provide students with an interest in the field of Social Work a meaningful opportunity to contribute to lives of at risk and underserved populations. You will learn to provide HELP Services the T.O.U.C.H. way.

WHAT: Pathway to Employment with MCS-T.O.U.C.H. is a new initiative for Social Work majors. Our goal is to locate, develop, and recruit for permanent full-time employment the best pool of students interested and passionate to help those we serve. 

PROCESS:

1. Come to Agency for a tour and complete an Interest application

2. Set a date to begin your Volunteer or Internship experience

3. After 30 days (case by case basis) of successful experience you are eligible for credit voucher for OSU College of Social Work or Capital Univ.

4. After 60 days of successful experience you are eligible for a part-time employment position or part-time paid Internship.

5. After 90 days and completion of 1 thru 4 above, you are now eligible to become a full-time employee of MCS-T.O.U.C.H.

WHO: MCS-T.O.U.C.H. serves at-risk and vulnerable populations in Central Ohio. Our mission is to reach out and touch the lives of individuals and families, empowering them to achieve self-sufficiency, positive relationships, and economic success.

WHEN: As soon as you are ready to begin. Volunteers can begin anytime. Normally Internship period would begin at the beginning of the semester.

WHERE: 4040 E. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43213

WHY: Provides student opportunities towards full-time employment and obtaining administrative and Direct Service experiences, etc. The benefit for T.O.U.C.H. is we can become familiar and can screen for solid, passionate, future, full-time employees candidates.
