YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM (YEP)

Out-of-School Youth Program

Offers workforce development and educational services youth ages 16-24.

  • Case management to help youth with personal needs

  • One-on-one tutoring and study skills services to
    improve literacy/numeracy, assist youth with homework, and prepare them
    for high school diplomas or GED exams.

  • Comprehensive work readiness training, including (but
    not limited to) workplace etiquette, interview skills, etc.

  • Training toward industry-recognized credentials and
    help obtaining certifications

  • Career exploration assistance

  • Placement in internships with T.O.U.C.H.’s employer
    partners

  • Mentoring from T.O.U.C.H. staff and adult volunteers

  • Computer/office technology literacy training

  • Leadership development training

  • Access to all T.O.U.C.H. supportive services, e.g. the
    T.O.U.C.H. clothing bank, counseling, and referrals for housing assistance

In-School Youth Program

T.O.U.C.H.’s in-school youth program provides education support and
career preparation for high school juniors and seniors. Services include:

  • Case management to help youth with personal needs

  • One-on-one tutoring and study skills coaching to help
    students successfully complete high school

  • Career planning, job training, and college counseling

  • Comprehensive work readiness training, including (but
    not limited to) workplace etiquette, interview skills, etc.

  • Paid work experience with T.O.U.C.H’s employer partners

  • Access to all T.O.U.C.H. supportive services, e.g. the
    T.O.U.C.H. clothing bank and referrals for housing assistance
